Evans Analytical Group LLC Announces
New Director of Analytical Services for New Jersey Lab

Sunnyvale, CA — 1 December 2005 -- Evans Analytical Group LLC announced today that Mr. Jeffrey Shallenberger has joined the company as Director of Analytical Services for its East Windsor, New Jersey facility. Mr. Shallenberger comes to EAG from Pennsylvania State University where he was most recently the Director of their Materials Characterization facility. Mr. Shallenberger, an expert in X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES), led an operation that offers over 25 analytical techniques for solving complex materials analysis problems for both university researchers and external customers. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Analyst for Evans East, an internationally recognized materials characterization lab recently acquired and merged into EAG. The EAG New Jersey facility that Jeff takes over is the former Evans East operation. Mr. Shallenberger earned both an M.S. and B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Tom Pfeil, EAG’s President & CEO commented: "We are thrilled that Jeff has agreed to join the Company. Jeff is a highly regarded technologist and leader in the materials characterization field and brings renewed energy and a fresh market perspective to EAG."

Mr. Shallenberger replaces Dr. William Harrington who has decided to retire after a distinguished 38 year career in materials characterization and commercial lab management. "Bill has been a major presence in the industry since his early days at the RCA Laboratories at the David Sarnoff Research Center" said Mr. Pfeil. "He later co-founded the Evans East laboratory and, with his partner Dr. Charles Magee, built it into an internationally recognized analytical lab that we are proud to have in the EAG family."
